Qualifications

  • Master’s degree within a highly technical/quantitative discipline (Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.) or PhD, MD or PharmD with 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in life sciences
  • Strategic thinking and strong conceptual power
  • Strong working knowledge of data mining algorithms including AI and ML techniques such as regression, decision trees, probability networks, association rules, clustering, deep learning, neural networks, Bayesian models, etc
  • Proven ability in generating advanced insights and predictive capability from statistical models
  • Proficiency in bringing structure to ambiguous problems and deriving insights from multiple data and information sources
  • Knowledge and expertise in clinical development and product life-cycle management
  • Project and budget management experience are required
  • Knowledge and skills in economic modeling and Monte Carlo simulation
  • Strong knowledge in global HTA methodology, processes, and payer environment
  • Knowledge and experience in vendor management
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills
  • Scientific writing and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • The incumbent will play a pivotal role within the Global Value & Access (GV&A) team, tasked with assessing real-world data (RWD) gaps and leading evidence generation programs
  • This involves the meticulous collection and dissemination of information, data, insights, and intelligence on specific topics, ensuring compliance with regional/country market access requirements
  • A key responsibility involves enhancing expertise in sophisticated analytics, specifically focusing on the applications of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) within the context of GV&A
  • In this multifaceted role, the incumbent will be instrumental in planning and executing evidence-based activities that align with GV&A's mission and strategy
  • This includes creating product, customer, and operational value from data, offering measurable performance and quality insights through modeling complex problems
  • The role delves into discovering insights and identifying opportunities using statistical, algorithmic, mining, and visualization techniques
  • Accountability extends to clinical data review and analysis of real-time data for complex, global projects sourced from various data outlets
  • The incumbent will actively contribute to GV&A's strategic planning and tactical operations, spanning the Neurology portfolio from early- to late-stage clinical development, as well as life-cycle management
  • The role also involves designing and implementing value demonstration initiatives, utilizing both secondary data assessments and primary data collection, including insights from relevant social media forums
  • Moreover, the incumbent will be involved in the development of disease awareness materials and crafting product value propositions / stories
  • This supports internal and external stakeholder engagements, as well as scientific communications

  • Responsible for the design and delivery of advanced analytical solutions and machine learning (ML) with robust capabilities that ensure high performance and high-quality results

  • Serve as a lead on cross-functional internal and vendor teams
  • Collaborate across complex matrix of Global Value & Access, Clinical, Medical Affairs, and Commercial functions to deliver an integrated global payer perspective
  • Harness advanced analytical techniques to identify patients at risk, analyze and bridge gaps in clinical practice, explore correlations related to Alzheimer's Disease (AD) risk and disease progression, and evaluate the impact of comorbidities, lost productivity, as well as social, emotional, and financial burdens associated with AD and other dementias
  • Collaborate with the GV&A functional team to support global market access and health economics initiatives
  • Leverage exploratory data analysis to understand the strengths and limitations of complex datasets and develop expertise, facilitating the identification of data patterns and trends and developing appropriate analytical approach
  • Utilize data visualization techniques to accurately interpret complex datasets, extracting valuable insights and meaningful information through graphical representation
  • Lead meaningful and transformative initiatives targeting payer challenges and unmet needs, with a primary goal of improving the quality of life for patients and caregivers
  • Design and implement thorough assessments, analytics, and reporting on CMS databases
  • This leadership role is integral to supporting both US and global access initiatives and payer engagements in the US markets
  • The outcomes of these efforts may serve as crucial references for decision-making by international payers and Health Technology Assessment (HTA) bodies
  • Lead real-world evidence (RWE) development programs to support global market access initiatives such as AD natural history, epidemiology, and health services research within the US Veterans Administration
  • Additionally, contribute to the potential establishment of future RWE programs and patient registries on a global scale
  • Integrate and prepare large, diverse datasets, design tailored analytical solutions and algorithms, and effectively communicate results in a professional manner
  • Collaborates with data scientists and streamlines the process of delivering analytical solutions and ML
