Job Title: Clinical Director of Adult Medicine

About the Role:
This leadership role includes both clinical and administrative responsibilities, such as improving operational efficiency, patient satisfaction, and financial performance, while also providing direct care. Working alongside the Nurse Manager, Practice Manager, and Director of Infectious Diseases, you will be responsible for driving clinical excellence and supporting the strategic goals of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and leadership for the Adult Medicine department.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Support continuous improvement efforts in clinical operations, workflow, and patient satisfaction.
- Supervise and mentor advanced practitioners (APRNs, PAs).
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and retention of clinical staff.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.
- Analyze and present clinical data to guide decision-making and improve department outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate Degree (Required)
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (Required)
- Physician License in the state of CT (preferred).
- Proven ability to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care.
- Experience working with underserved populations with complex medical needs.
- Strong background in clinical leadership or prior experience as Director/Associate Director in a large health center or private practice.
- Familiarity with compliance regulations and a focus on quality improvement.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with staff, patients, and external partners.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead with initiative, judgment, and accountability.
