Job Summary

We are the leading luxury-flooring contractor in our area; we are seeking the right people to fill an important role in the growth of our business! As a Sales Consultant, you will join a winning team of sales professionals and an opportunity to achieve your personal goals by assisting our customers with their shopping needs and ensuring an excellent shopping experience. Responsibilities may include working estimating, processing inventory, and maintaining the store’s appearance, but ultimately it is hitting your sales goals each week - being a self-starter and one who wants to win is critical to your success. Ideal candidates should have strong communication skills, personal drive, and the ability to work in a team environment where customer service is more than just a slogan. Must know the difference from being an order taker and a consummate sales professional; we sell our services in a competitive environment and order takers burn leads while “TRUE” professionals maintain customers for life and have a retention rate with 80% referral business from their delighted clientele. We have been in business in Santa Barbara for over 77 years and many of the senior tenured sales staff have passed or retired, filling their shoes is a tall order and only the best need apply.

Responsibilities

  1. Greet each customer with a smile and provide assistance while they are shopping.
  2. Follow all safety and loss prevention procedures.
  3. Work the showroom and leads to maximize customer sales.
  4. Collect payments.
  5. Take added responsibility for store maintenance.
  6. Drive sales by participating in targeted product promotions and initiatives as set forth by the company.
  7. Develop and maintain solid product knowledge in order to best help customers with their selections.

Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively.
  3. Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service.
  4. Willingness to work well in a team environment.
  5. Ability to quickly and accurately work a register.
  6. Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
