Legal Counsel
Annual Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 (commensurate with experience)

The Missouri Labor and Industrial Relations Commission is a higher authority that reviews workers’ compensation and unemployment compensation cases, as well as tort victims’ compensation fund appeals and prevailing wage objections. The Commission provides a team environment and small office atmosphere with limited remote work possibilities.
What You Will Do
- Legal research
- Analyze and summarize evidence
- Draft legal memoranda, recommendations, proposed orders, and decisions for Commissioners
- Answer legal and procedural questions posed by Commissioners, staff, and the public
- Assist with oral arguments
- Respond to inquiries from the parties and the public
Qualifications
All you need for success:
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Missouri*
- Member of The Missouri Bar in good standing*
- Familiarity with Missouri administrative law and process
- Applications from law school graduates who are sitting for the 2024 Missouri Bar examination will be considered for employment contingent on passing that examination and Fall 2024 admission to The Missouri Bar in good standing.
