POSITION SUMMARY -
The Material Handler performs a variety of duties to receive and ship materials for production and to supply areas with a continual supply of materials. Maintain accurate inventories of products, mainly coil receiving and staging.

POSITION SUMMARY -
The Material Handler performs a variety of duties to receive and ship materials for production and to supply areas with a continual supply of materials. Maintain accurate inventories of products, mainly coil receiving and staging.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Use hand trucks, forklifts, hoists and other material handling equipment to receive, store and transport material.
- Segregate rejected materials and follow established procedures for disposition of such materials.
- Receive raw materials (Coils).
- Assist in unloading trucks (Coils).
- Check packing lists, BOL (Bill of landing) for accuracy.
- Weigh material as required to ensure receipt of correct material.
- Assign proper storage location and transport raw materials to assigned location.
- Record location on packing slip for input into computer systems.
- Stack materials ensuring segregation of type, weight, and size.
- Ensure proper and safe storage of material.
- Maintain accurate inventory of raw material.
- Use a forklift or hand trucks within the finished goods warehouse; and, internal and external location, as necessary.
- Assist in the packaging and palletizing of finished goods.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations. Ensure proper housekeeping of work areas.
- Adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and follow all safety processes and protocols.
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent; minimum 1 year of manufacturing work environment preferably
- Microsoft Office experience preferred (Job requires basic use of Excel)
- Team player, dedicated to overall company performance and the ability to get along with others
- Self-motivated with enthusiasm and drive; able to work independently as needed
- Reliable attendance on-site required
- Ability to work various shifts if needed, to support a 24/7 operation
- Must be at least 18 years or older
- Regularly required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel and crouch
- Occasionally required to sit.
- Close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus is required
- Regularly required to work near moving mechanical parts and be exposed to fumes and airborne particles
- Regularly exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment, experiencing some vibration
- Ability to occasionally lift 35lbs.
- Ability to communicate and listen
- Ability to reach to use tools and equipment
- Ability to manipulate and feel small parts for inspection
- Ability to inspect small parts visually and through use of magnifying equipment and to perceive depth to set up equipment
