Our Headquarters office in Virginia Beach, VA is searching for a highly skilled and knowledgeable Accountant IV.General Description: This position is responsible for maintaining the general ledger and oversees all accounts payable functionsPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for ensuring accuracy of the various general ledger accountsMaintain the organization's insurance policies, including but not limited to general liability, property, and autoPreparing daily cash reconciliationPrepare reconciliations of asset accounts in the general ledgerMonthly depreciation of fixed assetsMonth end adjusting general entries and recurring journal entriesEnsuring all month end reports are generated and filed appropriatelyPrepares and submits sales and use tax returnsResponsible for payroll functionsWork Experience Requirements:Approves accounts payable invoices to ensure coding accuracy and payment responsibilityMonth end review of a l general ledger accounts and the trial balanceReview of facility costs and posting of facility costsResponsible for ensuring payroll is processed accurately and timelyCompletes quarterly and annual payroll, federal and state, tax returnsAll general ledger account reconciliationsEducational Requirements (or equivalent): BS/BA AccountingWorking Conditions: This work is performed in an office environment.
