JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

1. High school graduate or its equivalency.
2. Must have completed a Central Sterile Service or similar area with skills for preparing sterile supplies. Must be familiar with department supplies and ordering procedures.
3. Experience of at least one year in Central Sterile Service or similar area with skills for preparing sterile supplies. Must be familiar with department supplies and ordering procedures.
4. Basic medical ethics concerning patients; conditions or treatment if observed.
5. Evidence of good grooming and appropriate manner and conduct.
6. Performance must be error free within standards recommended.
7. Must be aware of safety hazards concerning autoclaves and contaminated instruments, etc.
8. Experience in use of autoclaves, knowledge of instruments, updating procedures and policies.
