Wentworth is seeking applicants for the position of Donor Relations Coordinator. The Donor Relations Coordinator reports to the Associate Director of Donor Relations in the Office of Institutional Advancement and External Relations. This is a full-time hybrid position. Must be available to work some weekends and evenings to attend functions and meet deadlines.

The Donor Relations Coordinator is a key member of the Donor Relations team, which is responsible for creating dynamic and impactful experiences for donors to the University. The Donor Relations Coordinator works closely with the Assistant Vice President of Alumni and Donor Relations and the Associate Director of Donor Relations and is responsible for operational and administrative support to the team.

Donor Relations

  • Reporting to the Associate Director, this position supports robust donor-centric stewardship recognition activities.
  • Manage all donor stewardship activities, including recognition and acknowledgement for gifts of all levels.
  • Identify, write, and track weekly donor communications and personalized acknowledgement letters on behalf of the university leadership, including the Vice President of Institutional Advancement and External Relations, the President of the university, the Assistant Vice President of Alumni and Donor Relations, the Associate Vice President of Industry & Government Partnerships, and others.
  • Assist with the sourcing, documentation and delivery of special recognition and stewardship gifts for donors or other friends of the university as needed.
  • Work with the Associate Director to distribute quarterly pledge reminders to donors.
  • Execute a variety of data uploads and updates into Slate CRM to accurately document donor activities and other record keeping.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to improve the data collection processes.
  • Support Donor Relations operations through reporting, problem solving, software knowledge, and data analysis.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for mailing and event invitation list requests.
  • Play a key support role with the Associate Director in preparing and distributing reports to endowed fund donors.
  • Provide ideas and support to Lifetime Engagement colleagues on potential donor stories and highlights for Alumni Newsletter.
  • Provide administrative support to staff including scheduling meetings, processing invoices and expense reports, reimbursement and budget reporting.
  • Proofread letters and other documents.
  • Maintain and track inventory of stewardship gifts and provide data to team on expenses and uses of gifts.
  • Provide additional support as needed or projects led by the AVP and Associate Director for strategic initiatives and constituent engagement.

Event Support

  • Collaborate with team members in University Events and Lifetime Engagement to brainstorm and implement events, including preparing for event day, overseeing centralized repository of yearly event schedules, and calendaring.
  • Ensure stewardship gift inventory is sourced and available for distribution at events and for other individuals being recognized or thanked at university events.
  • Staff events on and off-campus as requested by AVP and Associate Director.
  • Support University Event colleagues to maintain collaborative resources such as signage, event checklists, and event invitation collateral. Ensure event guest data is accurately recorded in Slate CRM.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree
  • One to three years of experience in donor relations or stewardship practice or equivalent relevant field.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Excellent communication skills, keen attention to detail, and creativity
  • Demonstrated collaborative approach to work and possession of strong editing, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong database usage and excel experience
  • Capacity to manage a high-volume workload and changing priorities
  • Ability to function independently, and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Demonstrated organizational experience and familiarity with stewardship activities and database management.
  • Experience with Slate CRM donor management system
