Description
The Commuter Office Assistant (COA) will provide administrative and programmatic support to the University's commuter population. In addition to performing miscellaneous clerical duties, the Commuter Office Assistant will also be required to oversee the Dezer Commuter Den. They will also be required to assist with various department projects as assigned.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the daily functions of the Dezer Commuter Den: ensure its upkeep, manage sign-in responsibilities, and provide resources as necessary to students;
- Answer a wide variety of questions related to the program's procedures and other general questions (training will be provided);
- General clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, shredding, sending faxes and other duties as assigned;
- Plan, supervise, and execute programs geared towards the commuter population at the University;
- Perform other such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
To apply for a COA position, students must be eligible for Federal Work Study .

Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Must be able to handle confidential information in a discreet manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable and patient with visitors
- Office experience a plus
- Ability to work independently
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
