Job Summary
We are looking for a construction safety advisor to join our well-established team. We need someone who can create our safety management system and establish policies and procedures that comply with all safety regulations. This role ensures safety standards are maintained and documented, and issues are resolved according to safety guidelines. If you're an experienced safety professional with excellent interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections
Focus on hazardous conditions and immediate corrective actions
Report directly to the Safety Manager
Advise supervision on corrective and disciplinary actions
Train employees in safe production practices
Conduct new employee orientations
Create and submit reports in E-compliance
Conduct accident investigations
Arrange medical treatment for job-related injuries
Perform construction site risk assessments
Job Qualifications
Education:
• High School diploma, diploma in skilled trade, or equivalent work experience
Experience:
• 2+ years' experience in construction
• In depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety, health and environmental risks, legislation, and procedures
• Bilingual English/Spanish- Ability to read, write, speak English/Spanish preferred
• Knowledge of safety regulations and company policies
Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to accept additional responsibility
