The Role
Our Great Plains Regional Office is adding a junior underwriter to assist in managing and analyzing contract surety submissions from bond agent partners in Oklahoma, Colorado, Nebraska, Arkansas, Kansas, New Mexico and Kansas City, Missouri. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented and entrepreneurial and will play a key role in growing our regional business. This position includes potential for advancement within the company.
What You’ll Do
With extensive training, you’ll make underwriting decisions by analyzing data and employing critical thinking skills. You’ll also:
- Analyze and input account financials
- Manage contract surety account files and process bond billings
- Provide timely, dependable service to surety-focused agencies
- Gain experience in customer service, relationship development, sales and marketing
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field
- Ability to read and analyze financial statements
- 3+ years of professional experience – surety or underwriting experience is not required
Location, Hours and Travel
This position may be based in Oklahoma or Colorado. The role is hybrid and requires availability during traditional business hours. Two or more days of out-of-state travel per month may be required.
Salary and Benefits
The salary band for this position starts at $60,000. Full-time employees receive comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, company retirement contributions and paid time off.
