Belden Construction, LLC, based in Rutland, Vermont, is a prominent civil construction company specializing in local construction projects. The company is dedicated to safety, quality, and maintaining a modern fleet of equipment.
Role Overview:
The Crane Operator will be operating a 60 Ton and 135 Ton wheeled crane on various construction sites, ensuring efficient and safe handling of heavy equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate wheeled cranes safely on construction sites.
- Lift, position, and place equipment or materials as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of the crane.
- Comply with company, federal, and state safety standards.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other team members for efficient workflow.
- Adhere to lift plans and signal instructions from riggers.
- Understand and interpret construction blueprints and specifications.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of experience operating similar heavy equipment.
- Commercial drivers license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certifications such as NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) or equivalent.
- OSHA certification for crane operation.
- Familiarity with rigging and hoisting procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
