Position: Commercial Insurance Sales Manager

This role will manage the day-to-day operations and accountability of the commercial insurance sales team. This position is being offered as Fully Remote or Hybrid depending on location within the following states: AR, CT, DC, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MI, MD, NJ, OH, PA, TN, TX or VA.

Salary Range: $125K - $135K, Full-time – Salary (non-commission based)
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
  • 5 - 7+ years experience within one of the following commercial industries: International Insurance, Risk Management, Financial Services, or any type of Business-to-Business (B2B) industry
  • 2 - 4+ years experience in effectively managing teams with direct reports in a commercial environment
  • Ability to support the team and clients when the need arises which may include nights, weekends, or extended hours
  • Capability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
  • Active license in Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life & Health (L&H) or ability to obtain both within your first 90 days
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
  • Train, mentor, manage and lead by example for all direct reports in our Commercial Insurance Global Organizations (CI-GO), ensuring their success in assigned positions
  • Accountable for delivering the commercial department revenue budget, while maintaining direct operating costs in line with company expense ratios and optimizing the commercial operation
  • Set sales strategies tailored specifically to the commercial insurance sector, work closely with the sales team to refine, and execute these sales strategies
  • Create sales goals for your team and proactively support and empower them to surpass these sales targets
  • Travel, both internationally and domestically, as necessitated by client meetings and other imperative tasks
  • Identify and drive revenue growth in Commercial Insurance (CI) through innovative strategies
  • Lead by example and foster the strong management and active development of the Commercial practice area
  • Take charge of formulating and effectively communicating sales forecasts, customer retention metrics, and account rounding targets
  • Devise and adhere to sales and marketing strategies, centering on relentless and potent lead generation
  • Follow established protocols and policies established by your department
  • Assist/maintain with job descriptions development depending on direct reports, audits, and new positions
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned depending on department need and growth

  • Bachelor's degree or higher education
  • Experience in an international broker or insurance company
  • Experience in developing and delivering client-focused solutions
  • Experience with International and/or emerging markets
  • Multi-product experience
