The Sales Manager is an individual who is highly sociable, draws energy from working with people, and is optimistic and outgoing. He/she is an excellent leader within the organization, able to build a cohesive sales team of Buyer Specialists and Showing Assistants who are united in their commitment to the team’s standards and to achieving the team’s goals. They have a strong sense of urgency, but not at the expense of quality. The Sales Manager leads the buyer side of the team by hiring, training, consulting, and holding accountable all Buyer Specialists and Showing Assistants. In addition, he/she demonstrates on a daily basis the management ability, knowledge, attitudes, skills, and habits of a high-achieving buyer agent who is committed to putting clients first, doing the right thing, and to seeking win-win agreements. The Sales Manager also demonstrates a commitment to learning and strives for growth by regularly attending courses, teaching courses when appropriate, and regularly practicing scripts and dialogues. Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Create and present proper acquisition reports to the CEO
  2. Hold each individual sales rep accountable for minimum metrics
  3. Coach team up to win prospective opportunities
  4. Hold daily sales training
  5. Work with vendors/buyers to underwrite and approve offers for the team
  6. Hold 1 on 1 performance reviews
  7. Coach team members on recorded calls
  8. Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports and make decisions necessary to lead the team to success
  9. Hold individual team members accountable to minimum expectations
  10. Provide written warnings/notices as needed for team members who are not performing
  11. Put together and live out performance improvement plans as needed
  12. Create, live out, and manage company SOPs
  13. Work with recruiters and recruit as needed
  14. Hire, onboard, and train team members as needed
  15. Coordinate with the operations team to live out contracts/deals that the acquisitions team puts in place
  16. Attend and participate in daily operations huddles
  17. Respond to all leads and close on them
  18. Manage pipeline of prospects
  19. Build rapport with potential clients
  20. Follow-up on leads in a timely manner
  21. Answer/return/follow up phone calls generated by lead system
  22. Act as lead contact for sellers
  23. Schedule and conduct appointments and negotiate a win/win solution for both parties
  24. Build rapport with the sellers to overcome objections to get the deal signed
  25. Must be driven and have the mindset to want more financially
  26. Use the CRM daily to update and stay on task until deals are closed
  27. Communicate efficiently and effectively with all parties involved
  28. Close contracts in a timely manner
  29. Willing to learn the industry and help us maintain and grow our marketplace position
  30. Attend business meetings and trainings as required
  31. Perform other administrative tasks and special projects as assigned
  32. Oversee the sales team's activities and performance
  33. Set individual sales targets with sales team
  34. Conduct market research and competitor and customer analysis
  35. Develop a scalable sales process and ensure agents adhere to it correctly
  36. Control expenses and monitor budgets

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree required and/or Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from college or university preferred
  • 3-5 years of sales closing experience required
  • 5+ years of call center or car sales dealership management experience in a sales environment is preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Docs and MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required

  • Negative pre-employment drug screen and ability to pass criminal background check
  • Limited travel as required

  • Prior sales experience is extremely important
  • Strong ability to lead a team
  • Decisive and comfortable making decisions quickly
  • One year of experience as a sales manager/team leader role is preferred
