Summary of Duties: To successfully contribute to a team environment and fabricate custom architectural products and sign systems that will meet customer and ADCON business needs.

Essential Duties:

Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics.

Ability to read and scale blueprints in English.

Ability to follow complex instructions.

Perform above average pre-paint preparations of signs.

Fabricate using various materials, such as wood, plastic, sign foam, aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.

Proficient skill-level of operation of various power and hand tools.

Efficient with operations of the hydraulic sheer, press brake, power rollers, and various saws.

Intermediate welding skills on various materials - such as aluminum and steel.

Demonstrate above average ability to make decisions in planning each project and to visualize each step during fabrication.

Communicate with supervisor and co-workers as necessary during project completion.

Related Duties:

Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe work area.

Contribute to the Arch/Cabinet Department results.

Identify and report quality concerns.

Maintain daily time sheets.

Compliance with company safety program and dress code.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three (3) years of experience in custom fabrication and/or steel welding, preferred.

Sign industry experience, preferred.

Intermediate ability in operation and maintenance of various tools and company equipment, utilizing the proper and personal protective equipment (PPE), including:

MIG (wire feed) and TIG welding equipment.

Cutting torches, hand brakes, power brakes, cut saws, iron worker, power rollers.

Various types of saws, sheers, punches, and drills.

Various small power tools and overhead hoist.

Proficient in reading a tape measure.

Ability to follow directions - both written and verbal.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to lift and carry fifty (50) pounds with help.

This position requires stooping, walking, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, pinching, and grasping. This position also requires close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and utilization of interpersonal skills/behaviors during interactions with team.

Working Conditions: Production work environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Working Hours:

Monday through Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM (regular schedule); 6:00AM-4:30PM (overtime schedule). Two (2) 15-minute paid rest breaks, one (1) 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Overtime available.

Salary Range: $47,840 - $62,400 annually ($23 - $30 per hour)
