We are looking for an experienced Corporate Controller to lead the Accounting team and act as a key member of the Finance leadership at the company. This is a high-visibility and high-impact role in a fast-growing company where you’ll work hand-in-hand with leaders throughout the company and empower your team in building out and scaling our Accounting function. You will own all accounting activities and functions, including close and financial reporting (internal), general ledger management, revenue recognition (under ASC 606), accounts receivable, accounts payable, stock administration, tax, treasury, payroll (including commission accounting), and audit.
You should be a hands-on, roll up your sleeves type of manager and should enjoy a fast-paced, start-up environment. The position requires strong financial, accounting, and management skills as well as a strong business sense. Being able to understand and direct the big picture while being extremely detail-oriented is critical.
You Will
- Lead a team to oversee and execute all Accounting functions (financial reporting, revenue recognition, general ledger management, AR/AP, stock administration, tax, treasury, and payroll) and ensure compliance with GAAP and other government regulations.
- Execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, financial statement preparation, and tax planning and compliance.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the development, implementation, and oversight of improved company-wide accounting policies, procedures, technology solutions, and controls to elevate the operations of the business while effectively managing risk via a comprehensive internal control environment.
- Partner with the FP&A teams on financial analysis and reporting.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to determine the accounting implications of key business deals.
- Scale and mentor a high-performing accounting team.
- 12+ years of accounting experience with time spent in public accounting and/or senior leadership roles within high-growth public technology (Marketplace and/or Subscription experience preferred). CPA with BS/BA in Accounting/Finance.
- Expert knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including familiarity with accounting positions and related guidance and other international entities (experience with ASC 606 required).
- Ability to understand and navigate challenging, complex, and cross-functional business problems; drive accounting-led initiatives and/or contribute deep domain expertise and recommendations to non-accounting-led initiatives.
- Experience implementing systems to achieve scalability and efficiency of the business and accounting functions.
- Strong people management experience and proven ability to deliver outstanding results through others in a timely manner using a strong sense of focus, organization, and thoughtful team design.
- Ability to function at high levels of business strategy but also willing to dive into the weeds and operate hands-on.

Compensation Package
$190,000-$240,000 USD Base Salary + Pre-IPO Stock Options.
