The essential duties of a Senior Project Manager are to ensure clientexpectations for complex project delivery are exceeded. Supporting adecarbonization and energy transition program may include assessments, grantapplications, planning, coordination, budgeting, estimating,scheduling and permitting, through to procurement for remediation,rehabilitation and replacement of utility systems, to completion,commissioning, monitoring, data collection and contract management. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Providing professional services as an Owner Representative to help ensure thatprojects are constructed on schedule, on budget and in accordance withproject contract documentsDevelop and execute energy strategies that leverage capital projects to reducelong term energy costs, address decarbonization requirements, or provideenergy resilienceLead and perform feasibility assessments and support business plan developmentfor decarbonization and energy transition projectsIdentify funding opportunities and lead grant applicationsExtensive experience managing and implementing energy transition projectsDeep understanding of utility use abatement projects and their impactsSolid understanding of the Colorado greenhouse gas emission reportingrequirementsDevelops project specific procedures and documentation, and consults withstakeholders on design and construction contractsEnsures contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications comply withproject construction requirementsRepresents owner, project and related parties in public forums and meetingsManages project controls, cost, and performance activities andprocedures, project logistics, organization, systems and project closeoutLeads in project meetings to include documentation, administration, andtracking of relevant information and statusesCoordinates, directs, and/or monitors activities of constructionmanagement staff, contractors, engineers, architects, and othersEnsures project team adheres to safety protocols and requirementsProvide pre-construction, procurement and construction phase management andadministration servicesAssists in the development and maintenance of a master project schedulePerforms other duties as requiredMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management,Architecture, or equivalent is requiredRegistration as an Architect, Professional Engineer, or CertifiedConstruction Manager is preferred9+ years of experience as a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager5+ years of experience in at least two of the following: industrialdecarbonization, energy efficiency, energy transition,electrification, energy generation and/or sustainability initiativesExperience in project development, design-phase management, constructionestimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation,engineering/construction principles, contracts and construction deliverymethodThorough understanding of contracts, documents, drawings, andspecifications and applied experience in the areas of project accounting,cost, administrative, and personnel interaction in professional settingsStrong comp ter skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products,and experience with project-related systems such as Prolog and PrimaveraProficiency with various document control systemsKnowledge of utility infrastructure and power systems design and constructionprocesses is preferredExperience with a variety of delivery methods in the Denver area andexperience with local contractors preferredExperience building educational facilities or other campus style projects ispreferredOffered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatoryfactors, including education, qualifications, experience, andgeographic location.
