Then the infrastructureteam ( is for you!Looking to take the next step in your career?Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivatedTransit Systems Consultantto join our North American Infrastructure group to support work preferably in the Northeast US region.In this role, the ideal candidate is Transit System specialist with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Candidates must have knowledge of core Transit System concepts and have a minimum of 1 years of professional systems experience. Experience working in the Automated Fare Payment ecosystem is preferred.As the successful candidate, you will:Be comfortable working onsite in a lab environment as neededCreate, modify, and review design documents and technical specificationsPrepare technical briefs, presentations and reports that identify work progress, defects/non-conformances, and areas of concern.Direct collaboration with vendors as a representative of the clientHave a general understanding of contractual language and obligationsReview and approve vendor submittalsReview training and manuals and maintenance proceduresParticipate in and lead technical working sessions to address issues raised by clientsInspect and review prototype and first article equipment and prepare detailed descriptions of review findings.Basic understanding of implementing a test plan and procedure.Assist in test and commissioning Transit system equipment and software.Ability to work independently under the direction of a senior staffParticipate in quality assurance and manufacturing audits.Monitor system performance and adherence to KPIs and SLAsAssist with the conduct of forensic investigations of failed components and equipment and reporting findings under the direction of senior staff.Provide technical support to other team members as requiredParticipate in local and national professional organizationsYou bring to the role:A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering or related fieldOne or more years of progressive experienceAbility to give direction to other staff as needed, supervise workgroupsExperience in the transportation industryBasic knowledge of Transit systems such as fare payment technologies, GIS, GPS location, CAD/AVL, Mobity as a Service (MaaS), wayfinding, GTFS and open data standardsExcellent analytical, written, and oral communication skillsBasic understanding of SQL Database and ability to perform basic database queryDemonstrate strong organizational skills, work well within a team, self-starter, take direction from other senior staff members, be able to multi-task on a variety of work assignments, and meet deadlines.Flexibility to travel to various client sites as neededRequirements for all sectors:To live our manifesto.
