Position Title: Brand Manager, US

Classification: Exempt

Position Status: Full Time

Reports To: Senior Brand Manager, US; Director, US Marketing

Direct Reports: Associate Brand Manager, US; Marketing Coordinator

Role Objectives:

Play an active role in the two-year product development cycle including input into the BDO and the financial management of the brand P&L with a core focus on the US competitive landscape, identifying white space opportunities to increase share and deliver growth.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years in a marketing team in a similar role.
  • Must hold tertiary qualifications in a related field e.g. Bachelor of Marketing.
  • Experience or knowledge of the toy industry and consumer marketing to children would be highly regarded.
  • Experience in consumer insights, product and packaging development preferred.

Responsibilities:

Brand Management

  • Assist in the development and execution of Brand strategy and Marketing strategy, starting at the brand directional outline stage, identifying market gaps based on an intimate understanding of retailer and competitive activity across all markets.
  • Lead competitive Landscape reviews in partnership with D&A team to create pricing & line architecture, identifying any gaps or white-space opportunities.
  • Present US NPD findings and action plans to launch, drive and maintain brand performance to global partners and leadership teams.
  • Lead brand, product research and TVC discussions in partnership with the global brand team including analysis and execution with sign-off from portfolio directors, ensuring requirements will deliver long-term growth across the market.
  • Lead Post-season launch analysis & performance vs. the competitive landscape to inform future season planning, increasing category share and increased gross sales.
  • Lead retail distribution, exclusive and first-to-market (FTM) product development opportunities, with a clear understanding of the size of opportunity vs. the resource requirements to drive a balanced retail margin and increased.
  • Drive US marketing forecasts, monthly maintenance and reporting to Sr. management and support sales & operations with OTIF.
  • Support A&P budget planning, identify cost efficiencies, in-season reallocation, and brand level financial planning.

People Management

  • Regularly review resourcing requirements for the department and recruits, interviews, selects and trains new staff;
  • Oversee the day-to-day workloads and performance of direct reports towards the achievement of agreed objectives, through the provision of clear direction, coaching and support;
  • Work with direct reports to set individual KPIs, and conduct regular reviews in-line with the Moose Performance Management Program;
  • Manage the training and professional development of team members, with an emphasis on providing timely and constructive feedback on a regular basis;
  • Champion the Moose culture to ensure direct reports deliver on The Wow.

Work Hours

8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Thursday

8:30am – 3:00pm, Friday

30-minute unpaid lunch break each day.

Plus, reasonable additional hours due to multiple time-zones.

Moose also provides flexible working options.

Travel

Some travel may be required.

Salary Band

USD $90,000-$100,000

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone and other office productivity machinery, may need to reach, stoop, kneel to access items.
  • Must be able to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
