Job Requirements / Description
The Director, Strategy will play a key role in identifying, developing, and implementing key strategic and business initiatives that contribute to the growth of USPI. The role will be responsible for evaluating new market opportunities as the transition to ambulatory surgery care continues across specialties, codifying and implementing system-wide best practices as well as supporting special projects. The role will collaborate extensively with USPI corporate and operations leadership as well as Tenet Healthcare enterprise functional leaders.
The Director’s role will include the following:
- Support and lead USPI Corporate Strategy activities to identify strategic, organic growth opportunities across the portfolio.
- Develop and implement system-wide best practices, growth programs, and key strategic initiatives, including:
- Detailed assessment of opportunities.
- Program and project management.
- Effective and timely implementation and full adoption of initiatives.
- Development of standards, processes, and tools.
- Ongoing management and process ownership of certain initiatives to ensure successful adoption, maintenance, and continuous enhancement.
- Communications and trainings for enterprise, market, and facility leaders.
- Support USPI Market Chief Strategy Officers to evaluate and implement market-specific opportunities, aligned with business plan goals.
- Develop business cases and financial assessment of new initiatives to inform prioritization.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track performance of initiatives and overall organic growth metrics.
- Conduct analysis, prepare reports, present findings, and manage tools.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- MBA, MHA, or relevant graduate degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of work experience in a relevant role; preferred experience in healthcare.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience in managing implementation of large-scale projects.
- Familiar with different operating models, service line, and market constructs.
- Familiar with project management methodology and tools.
