Distribution Center Manager

Job Duties:

• Manage the daily operations and activities of the DC Office team to ensure shipments are processed efficiently, effectively, timely, and accurately.
• Lead distribution, warehousing, and carrier selection for “dropship” programs from offsite contract manufacturers fulfilling orders.
• Foster a team environment focused on serving both internal and external customers with a “How can we help you” approach.
• Maintain a professional business environment and provide unified direction to continually improve the Distribution Center’s performance to be best in class.
• Oversee the development and growth of all Distribution Center team members by creating training programs to enhance their knowledge and skills.
• Develop processes and procedures to ensure proper and accurate execution of all Distribution Center activities.
• Innovate new, more efficient, and cost-effective methods to better serve both internal and external customers.
• Develop processes and procedures for fulfilling e-commerce, omnichannel, and B2B orders.
• Collaborate with the direct supervisor to develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the Distribution Center team’s performance.
• Maintain knowledge of DOT, HAZMAT, and safety requirements to effectively perform shipping, receiving, and warehousing activities.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements:

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with other teams and team members.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
• 7+ years of warehousing and distribution experience, with 5+ years at the supervisor level or above.
• Strong working knowledge of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) and Warehouse Management System (WMS). Experience with Oracle/JD Edwards ERP system preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Experience in consumer products is a plus.
