Solutions Architect

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Solutions Architect with our client located in Cedar Park, TX. This is a full-time, hybrid position.

Responsibilities:

1. Design Architect solutions that align with IT strategy and business objectives while considering the technical and non-technical implications and trade-offs.
2. Define target state technology architecture and roadmaps.
3. Aid in technology selection process by assessing and evaluating various technologies.
4. Promote the advancement, adoption and steadfast execution of architectural principles and standards across the entire technical stack, encompassing a diverse array of environments.
5. Engage in the development of proof of concepts (POCs), prototypes and the implementation of diverse design patterns.
6. Collaborate with product owners to understand the business requirements and translate into technical solutions.
7. Provide technical guidance and expertise to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
8. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of the solution architecture, design and architectural decisions, and implementation guidelines.
9. Address technical challenges and solve complex problems that may arise during the development and implementation of solutions.
10. Demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous learning with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; or equivalent combination of education/experience.
2. 5 years' experience defining, designing and building large scale technical solution architecture or similar work.
3. Engineering experience in building scaled, secure and resilient solutions both on-premises and cloud.
4. Experience in enterprise solution architecture roles.
5. Demonstrated proficiency and practical experience with Enterprise Architecture principles, prevalent frameworks, data, system and process modeling.

Desired skills:

1. Formal software engineering concepts training and/or certifications.
2. Knowledge and experience building domain driven design service architecture.
3. Knowledge and experience in API gateways, service mesh, GraphQL.
4. Experience with application containerization and orchestration, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
