Great opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to work for a leading manufacturer of Building Products in Northern Charlotte, NC.


Our client is a global building products leader looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to identify, develop, and implement process improvement projects through automation implementation.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Leading automation projects that deliver products and processes of validated consistent quality.
  • Implementing lessons learned and best practices in the form of poke yoke processes.
  • Determines priority of multiple project options that give the most value by thorough analysis utilizing lean and six sigma tools.
  • Supports manufacturing operations to ensure uninterrupted quality production.
  • Improve profitability with emphasis on completion/introduction prior to a new product launch or equipment start-up.
  • The Manufacturing Engineer will be qualified to perform as technical expert for manufacturing processes for the factory.
  • Manage new or modified machine upgrade projects, responsible for all phases of machine introduction into production, timing plan, identify manning requirements, identify products to run on machine, training plan.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in engineering or engineering technology.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial engineering role.
  • Automation and robotics Kuka/CMA experience preferred.
  • Control systems and PLC programming primarily Allen Bradley studio 500
  • SCADA systems and programming
  • Machine design
