This position is Hybrid and eligible for telework up to three (3) days a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager II, the agency-wide Records Management Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the agency's Records Management Program. The incumbent works with divisions and units throughout the agency to ensure the agency's records systems are being maintained in an efficient and effective manner, promoting access and use of records, and delivering effective processes for managing, storing, and disposing of electronic and physical records, data sources, and writings. This position provides program coordination at the agency-wide level and is actively involved in all information management projects, ensuring compliance with program objectives. The incumbent acts as a liaison to business units and outside agencies, including the California Secretary of State's Office, facilitating communication and answering questions on behalf of the agency. The position is a subject-matter-expert on records management principles, laws, and regulations, and is expected to remain current on the state of art for records and information management for governmental agencies.
This position is Limited Term (12 months); it may become permanent, be extended, or be cancelled at any time.
