You will report to the Revenue Accounting Senior Manager and work cross-functionally with the Finance, GL Operations, Financial Reporting, Sales, Professional Service, and Legal teams. The Revenue Accounting Manager will lead a team which ensures proper revenue recognition for multi-element arrangements including software, SaaS, and services, and provide timely and accurate visibility into Ping's revenue.

You will:

  • Ping sells multi-element arrangements which include subscriptions for software, SaaS and services. You will be responsible for reviewing contracts to ensure appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 606).
  • Review calculations and reconciliations of revenue, deferred revenue, and other related accounts.
  • Manage the month end close process ensuring team members are meeting deadlines.
  • Review and approve monthly revenue recognition journal entries.
  • Prepare and present monthly reporting for revenue, deferred revenue, and AR accounts.
  • Coordinate and support annual SSP analysis.
  • Coordinate with the financial reporting team to prepare revenue related footnote disclosures.
  • Work directly with external auditors to provide appropriate documentation and explanations for revenue related audit requests.
  • Monitor revenue related accounting standard updates and partner with the Senior Manager to implement and operationalize.
  • Prepare monthly technical memos to document accounting treatment of significant or unusual transactions.
  • Provide coaching to a team of revenue accountants to improve their skills and overall team performance.
  • Support ad hoc projects related to the revenue and receivables process including system implementations, acquisitions, and process improvements.

You have:

  • BS/BA in Accounting
  • CPA
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Experience leading a team
  • Advanced knowledge of US GAAP
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (can perform complex functions and maintain complex spreadsheets)

You have an advantage if:

  • Knowledge of ASC 606 and its application

Salary Range: $114,000 - $142,000

In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
