JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
TITLE : Home Visitor
PROGRAM : South Shore Healthy Families Programs
HOURS : Full-time (flexible hours required)
SALARY : $27.10 per hour plus benefits
BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Holiday, Paid earned leave, Retirement, etc.
DUTIES : Under the supervision of the Site Supervisor, the Home Visitor's responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide home visiting/ parent education services to eligible teen parents.
  • Participate in group support services.
  • Serve as a role model and give support and encouragement to parents and their families to help raise healthy children.
  • Track, record and maintain participant data as required.
  • Participate in all site visits.
  • Participate in community outreach and help/improve family's access services in their communities.
  • Disseminate appropriate materials in strategic places throughout the community detailing the need for early prenatal care, parenting education and prevention of child abuse.
  • Participate in on-the-job training in infant care, nutrition, parenting skills, childbirth education and child development as required by funders and Health Imperatives.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director/Supervisor.

Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma and three to five years of early childhood experience or bachelor's degree in social work, early childhood education, human services or related field and one to three years of early childhood experience. Travel required. Reliable transportation, valid MA driver's license, auto insurance, registration, and a safe driving record required. Knowledge of community resources helpful. Excellent written and spoken English language skills. Must maintain a flexible schedule.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Bilingual in Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese preferred
