Position Summary:
The School Based Therapist is responsible for providing clinical care in the school setting. The clinician will utilize assessment tools to identify areas for interventions and partner with district staff to support students in a manner that is conducive to all aspects of wellness.  While working as part of a team, this position requires a significant amount of autonomy and ideal candidates will possess the ability to maintain a large caseload with access to weekly supervision.  This is a 10-month position, paid over a 12-month period.
Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Human Service or related field including psychology, counseling, or social work
  • One or more years of clinical experience
  • One or more years of experience providing therapy to children & adolescents
 Preferred Qualifications:
  • Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Program Specific Responsibilities:
  • The School Based Therapist will provide direct services to individuals, families, and groups through a wide variety of treatment modalities including but not limited to individual, group, and family therapy in a school setting.
  • Create, maintain, and update treatment plans accordingly to address student specific needs.
  • Coordinate total care given by collaborating with multidisciplinary professionals to provide and facilitate care in accordance with policies and procedures, philosophy and objectives of Child and Family Focus.
  • Maintain caseload of approximately 30-35 students.
  • Coordinate and triage all referrals while ensuring care is provided in a timely manner
  • Serve as a liaison between Child and Family Focus and local School Districts focusing on customer services, community partnerships, and advocacy for students in need
  • Utilize multiple electronic health records, when needed
  • Demonstrate ongoing availability during the school year
  • Additional duties as assigned
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Rate of $23-24 an hour
