DUTIES

1. Design, implement and support software-defined services for computing, storage, networking, security, and cloud management to run enterprise applications, traditional or containerized, in a hybrid cloud environment.
2. Collaborate with the appropriate departments and technology offices to assess and recommend technologies that support organizational needs.
3. Perform administrative and management tasks to maintain system operation, install/deploy new systems, maintain system security and performance, and ensure data integrity.
4. Interface with applications specialists, system users, and vendor contacts.
5. Assist in special project planning; act as Technical Lead on projects; coordinate and collaborate with a team that includes Developers, DBA, QA Testers, System Administrators, Business Analysts, and various other members of the group.
6. Propose and drive changes to improve environment stability, performance, and security.
7. Monitor performance and capacity of the cloud environment and proactively address issues.
8. Produce, maintain, and update logical and physical network diagrams.
9. Gather system metrics for Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and customer inquiries.
10. Execute the planning, design, and implementation of a Virtual Desktop Environment (VDE) and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
11. Test and provide critical input to the Disaster Recovery Plan.
12. Create and maintain compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
13. Support scheduled system application and ad-hoc enterprise maintenance.

Background Needed and Years of Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience architecting technology solutions in AWS or an AWS Solutions Architect Associate with at least 4 years of experience architecting technology solutions in AWS. MA/MS, or BA/BS with 12+ years of IT experience.

Must Have Technical Skills
Familiarity with migrating “on-premise” to an AWS cloud environment.
