Job Description

Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives creating opportunity for our current and prospective team members. As a result, a full-time position is available for an experienced project architect. This position would lead project execution teams focused on delivering architectural services for federal defense and/or laboratory projects.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Coordinating multi-disciplinary in-house and sub-consultant team members.
  2. Working closely with clients and contractor/developer design/build partners.
  3. Assisting Project Manager with pursuing projects.
  4. Coordinating and leading project teams.
  5. Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  6. Developing and executing project workplans.
  7. Scheduling and facilitating team and client meetings.
  8. Developing and delivering presentations to clients, partners, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).

As a national practice, this position is expected to travel up to 25%.

The successful candidate must have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in architecture from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Current architectural license in the state office is located.

A valid driver's license is required.

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

  • Experience preparing deliverables for each stage of project development for federal defense or laboratory facilities.
  • Experience providing bidding and construction administration phase services for federal defense or laboratory facilities.
  • Experience leading architectural services for other federal agency project types.
  • LEED AP, WELL Accredited Professional, or Guiding Principles Compliance Professional.
  • NCARB-Certified.
  • Experience leading architectural services for aviation facilities projects is a plus.
