Head of Global Content Operations and Program Management

You will serve as a strategic leader driving the transformation of Core Curriculum from a content creation organization to a tech-enabled content aggregation and scaling organization.

You will exponentially expand our training portfolio and enable T&C’s AI-powered vision for Skill Builder by:

  1. Driving development and adoption of purpose-built self-service content tools and processes by AWS subject matter experts from the wider AWS community (internal and, ultimately, external).
  2. Identification and adoption of 1P and 3P creative technologies to reduce friction arising from localization, accessibility, modality/presentation shifts, and content updates. This includes negotiation and management of multiple 1P and 3P technology partnerships.
  3. Building and managing publishing and “content operations” mechanisms that can cope with content aggregator degrees of scale.
  4. Leading the creation, adoption, and maintenance of cross-org business scaling mechanisms. This includes cross-org goal-setting and tracking, program management of cross-org initiatives, “rhythm of business” mechanisms, and business analytics/intelligence.

Reporting into the Director of Core Curriculum, you will directly manage a team of ~40, including program managers, a content publishing team, a localization operations team, international studio teams, and a creative services team.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • You have high judgment on critical strategic and business issues, including tech decisions, value exchange in partnerships, content quality vs lead time trade-offs, goal-setting, and resource allocations.
  • Your customer obsession makes you a role model for Amazon’s Day 1 culture, with low tolerance for unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • You create and maintain high-trust, productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You are a simplifier, experienced at navigating complex challenges and driving org-wide adoption of decision-making frameworks.
  • You are a persuasive communicator who provides effective thought leadership at all levels of the organization.
  • You are highly curious and role model continuous learning for your organization.
  • You are an inspirational and inclusive leader who balances high performance expectations with a culture of mutual respect.
