Position Description

The Jewelry Specialist is tasked with meeting and surpassing sales targets. As you lead customers’ in-store experience at our prestigious luxury jewelry retail store, you’ll ensure they find the perfect piece of jewelry by understanding their needs, offering expert advice, and delivering exceptional service. This role also supports the brand's overall growth and success by contributing to team motivation, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring store operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Excellence

  • Drive store sales to meet and exceed targets through superior customer service and expert knowledge of our products, technologies, and services.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating the highest standards of sales techniques, procedures, and standards to the team as you meet and exceed personal and store sales targets.
  • Develop and maintain deep product knowledge across all categories, including new collections and exclusive pieces.
  • Establish and nurture strong client relationships, providing personalized service to our VIP customers.

Customer Experience

  • Ensure every customer receives an exceptional level of service that aligns with our brand’s reputation, encouraging loyalty and repeat business.
  • Handle customer inquiries, issues, and complaints with professionalism, personally resolving them efficiently to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Offer personalized services such as private viewings, bespoke consultations, and after-sales support to enhance customer engagement.
  • Ensure an exceptional customer experience by maintaining high standards of service and addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide guidance, training, and motivation to the sales team, helping them to achieve their individual and collective targets.
  • Foster a positive and inspiring team environment that encourages collaboration and high performance.
  • Coordinate with the management team on staff scheduling to ensure optimal floor coverage during peak times.
  • Motivate and coach staff to achieve company financial targets and service expectations and participate in team goal setting.
  • Observe sales trends, customer feedback and preferences, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Operations & Inventory

  • Operations: Ensure efficient store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Fulfillment: You may help to order components for, quality check, and/or package & prep customer orders for pickup or shipment.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, conduct regular stock audits, and manage product displays to optimize sales and minimize shrinkage.
  • Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to ensure the store presentation meets brand standards and is conducive to sales.
  • Ensure exceptional presentation of the Retail Store at all times.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in luxury retail sales, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities and teamwork.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Robust understanding of luxury retail operations and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in retail management software and POS systems.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and staying informed about industry trends and new products.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Preferred: Experience with Mac OS, Google Workspace, and/or Shopify platform.
