The Team:

Join our Customer Enablement and Growth team, where we are focused on implementing the programs and processes necessary to drive the commercial growth of the division. We are expanding our global sales planning and performance function. We are seeking highly accomplished professionals with proven track records to build, standardize, and execute our highly complex global sales planning group. Responsibilities and Impact:

The Director of Sales Planning will play a pivotal role in shaping the sales strategies and driving the performance of our global sales team. This individual will be a subject matter expert on industry trends and competitor strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the market. This person will be accountable for the development of sales plans that align with our company's financial data, analytics, and workflow solutions, ensuring that our sales efforts are efficient, effective, and scalable across different markets.

  4. Lead the development and execution of annual and ongoing sales planning process across all regions and segments and oversee the execution of sales budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to maximize ROI.
  5. Manage and refine sales forecasting models, utilizing financial data and analytics to predict sales trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
  6. Collaborate with key stakeholders and cross-functional leaders across the company to ensure sales plans are integrated with global business objectives.
  7. Provide leadership and direction to the sales planning and enablement team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  8. Utilize workflow management tools and technology to streamline sales planning processes to enhance team productivity.
  9. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on sales planning activities and progress toward goals.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $110,761 to $194,565. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.

What We're Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  1. Expertise in financial data analysis and sales forecasting.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales planning or sales operations, preferably in the financial data or analytics industry.
  3. Proven track record of developing successful sales strategies, annual sales plans, and execution initiatives to meet targets.
  4. Proficiency and experience with Varicent or similar sales planning software, Salesforce or similar CRM systems, data analysis tools, and workflow management software.
  5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable sales plans.
  6. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams in a global organization.
  7. Strong project management and organizational skills with a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
  8. Innovative mindset with a focus on process improvement.
  9. A history of successful collaboration with finance, product development, and marketing teams.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  2. Experience in the global financial markets data and analytics is highly desirable.
  3. Familiarity with the latest trends in financial technology and data-driven sales strategies.
