What you'll do...
As a Software Engineer III for Sam's Contact Center team , you will be a critical member of the team that builds, manages, and deploys some of the key technologies that powers our new and exciting global software initiative at Sam's Club. You will also get to work with talented team of Engineers while working closely with product and cross-functional teams. As a member of our team, you'll be able to say that you work for the world's largest retailer and contribute to the development to best-in-class methodologies that impacted perception and drastically changed business as we know it.
About Team: Sams Contact Center Tech Team
As a member of the of the Sam's Contact Center Engineering group, you will work on exciting and challenging problems that have an immense impact on the Sam's club business.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain high performant APIs and software services for our customer experience
- Develop robust, maintainable, reusable code for managing functionality, configuration, deployment, monitoring, performance, scalability, availability, security, and alerting for software test, integration, and production environments.
- Plan and implement a series of steps which potentially includes reconfiguration, integration, removal, or addition of application components to enhance the application's functionality, resiliency, usability, and security.
- Understand the Business/Stakeholder/Technical requirements and assist in analyzing the existing solutions to address the needs. Assist in creation of simple, modular, extensible functional design for the product/solution in adherence to the requirements.
- Assess gaps/ updates/ modifications between the customer/business expectations and the existing product/solutions.
- Analyze defects from past projects/solutions to avoid recurrence of similar defects.
- Analyze system performance impacting the complete product for non-functional requirements like reliability, operability, performance efficiency and security. Troubleshoot performance and availability bottlenecks for the application.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test cases and deployment procedures.
- Follow coding and design best practices developed by the teams and contribute towards their continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree or master's degree in computer science
- 2+ yrs backend experience using Java and Spring framework.
- 1+ yr database experience either relational or NoSQL.
- 1+ yr any cloud experience using kubernetes
- Strong understanding of internals of web application along with database management.
- Building monitoring tools and automation for managing the Production systems.
- Hands on experience in doing proofs of concepts based on business and technology needs and communicating Technology direction to top management.
- Experience with source code repositories (Git) and CI tools (Jenkins, Maven) and software provisioning and deployment automation tools.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00
Additional Compensation Includes Annual Or Quarterly Performance Bonuses.
