Tax Manager

Our client is a media company. They seek a Tax Manager to join their Los Angeles, CA office.

Responsibilities

• Assess corporate and partnership federal, state, and local income tax returns following relevant tax laws
• Review quarterly estimated tax payments and tax return extensions, including monitoring payment deadlines
• Analyze interim and year-end tax provisions with a focus on current taxable income calculation and validation
• Collect and analyze financial information for assigned business divisions and document conclusions
• Develop an understanding of the business operations for assigned business divisions
• Respond to tax notices, including corresponding with taxing authorities to resolve inquiries and disputes
• Handle the day-to-day management of tax team members and/or consultants on assigned projects
• Provide tax support to other corporate and operating groups and assist with various projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, MST preferred
• 5+ years of Domestic Tax Compliance
• Public (Big 4/National) or Combo background
• Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
• Strong managerial and interpersonal skills
• CPA strongly preferred
• Skilled in Alteryx, CorpTax, and Excel
