Role Summary
This is a Physical Security position with an emphasis on secured area construction. Responsibilities include implementation and compliance with all US Government and Raytheon Technologies security requirements. Incumbent will provide guidance and direction to Closed Area Custodians and Contractor Program Security Officers (CPSO). This role will coordinate with external and internal customers on physical security requirements, and interface with Raytheon management on major matters pertaining to the programs policies, plans, and objectives.
What You Will Do:
- Leads physical security requirements to safeguard classified information across the business as it relates to meeting new construction and renovation requirements for standing up DoD closed areas and SAP’s/SCIF’s.
- Responsible for oversight of all closed area compliance across the business to ensure all aspects of customer requirements are being met (e.g. NISPOM, JAFAN 6/9, ICD 705, and UL 2050).
- Reviews building construction/remodel design plans.
- Communicate vision and strategies effectively with both Raytheon leadership and strategic partners.
- Travel as needed.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- 5+ years of experience in a Security related position applying NISPOM, UL 2050, JAFAN 6/9, and/or ICD 705 requirements.
- An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance with the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance. Eligibility for additional clearances may also be required from the customer.
- Experience in threat assessment and risk analysis, integrated physical security systems and/or ongoing evaluations of security measures.
- Comprehensive understanding of Fixed Facility Checklist, self-inspections and/or DCSA Form147’s.
- Knowledge of general security in depth principles.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Top Secret security clearance with an investigation not older than 6 years on the first day of employment.
- Professional certifications i.e., Physical Security Professional (PSP), Physical Security Certification (PSC), Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC).
- Experience in a multi-site environment utilizing state-of-the-art electronics with knowledge of TCP/IP, fiber-optic and CAD experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with intrusion detection systems, automated access control, video surveillance systems, Software House C-Cure 9000.
- Experience with Protective Distribution Systems.
- Ability to collaborate with other businesses in developing and maintaining a progressive security program.
- Ability to work effectively and comfortably with internal and external customers of all levels.
- Experience maintaining a Physical Security program consisting of Sensitive Conventional Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E).

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
