Within AWS, the Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) Customer Enablement Organization is responsible for supporting Public Sector customers and partners in their journey to the cloud. Our vision is to promote long-term healthy AWS relationships by ensuring AWS WWPS customers and partners have the operational knowledge, best practices, processes, and mechanisms in place to effectively manage operational aspects of their AWS business.

We are seeking a Strategic Investments Specialist to join our Public Sector Customer Investments team to support our promotional credits programs by reviewing, advising, and administering investments to support our Public Sector customers. This role offers the chance to work with teams across AWS and our Public Sector business as we ensure our teams have the information and resources they need to make sound business decisions. The Strategic Investments Specialist is responsible for supporting the administration and management of multiple promotional credit programs for Public Sector customers. They are expected to provide high-touch support to our customers and Sales team, while also providing guidance and sharing best practices on credit issuance and usage. The Strategic Investments Specialist will act as a trusted advisor to the sales leaders they support and will be expected to make recommendations to maximize ROI. In addition, they will be expected to identify areas of improvement within the team and propose and implement improved processes and mechanisms to increase overall team efficiency.

Key job responsibilities
• Managing escalations and autonomously driving issue resolution
• Managing credit deployment and usage within a given portfolio of customers
• Dive deep into data to understand trends in ROI and make recommendations to sales leadership on where and how credits should be allocated to maximize ROI
• Identify and own areas for improvement within the team
• Dive deep into credit requests to review for program compliance, escalate when necessary, and ultimately approve or reject the request while adhering to an SLA.
• Gather insights from the business through analyzing data, identifying trends, and looking around corners to develop innovative solutions for best-in-class customer experience.

Minimum Qualifications
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably within tech, cloud computing in a sales or operational support role
• Prior experience communicating, presenting, engaging, and influencing stakeholders
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to create and troubleshoot complex formulas and functions (e.g., pivot tables, vlookup, etc.)
• AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification or other current AWS Certification
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Experience with process improvement and project management
• Passion for driving operational excellence and a desire to empower sales teams
• Passionate about driving innovation and continuous improvement
• Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, or similar
• SQL, Tableau, or other data analysis experience.
