As a DevOps Engineer Lead on the Application Performance Management team within the Enterprise Monitoring organization, you'll support applications currently set up in the production monitoring environments and guide service teams to incorporate their applications into the environment. As an Agile delivery team member, you’ll provide our customers with the near real-time observability needed to rapidly respond to events while advancing Progressive’s monitoring capabilities. You’ll also assist in evaluating, designing, and implementing software products to support our customer requirements, as well as perform research and development efforts pertaining to new features and capabilities.

On-call rotation is required 2 -3 times per year for a 2-week sprint. This is a remote position for US-based work only.

Must-have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunication, Math) and minimum of six years working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions.
  • In lieu of degree, minimum of eight years related experience working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with one or more monitoring tools in a variety of areas that include data ingestion, event management, application performance monitoring, and session capture/replay.
  • Experience with Splunk, tools in the Splunk Observability Suite, and the Open Telemetry open-source observability framework.
  • Experience with Cloud Solutions and experience with Docker, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with both Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and development using Python.
  • Experience with CI/CD tool chains, such as Azure cloud and GitHub.

Compensation

  • $118,000-$139,200/year
  • Gainshare bonus up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance.
