Job Description:

As a Senior Manager of Accounting and Financial Reporting, you will play a pivotal role within our Accounting organization, working closely with the Director of Accounting and US Controller. You will also collaborate with our FP&A, Tax, Business, and Global Reporting teams to enhance and streamline our financial reporting processes. Your responsibilities will include assisting with onboarding and co-leading the H1 and Year-End audits, ensuring accurate application of IFRS accounting standards, and fortifying our internal controls program. Additionally, you will engage in technical accounting discussions and contribute to key accounting initiatives.

Your responsibilities…

Collaborate with Leadership in increasing Financial Transparency

  • Work closely with the Director of Accounting to provide expert guidance and support across financial reporting, technical accounting, and internal controls teams.
  • Ensure timely completion of key activities in alignment with established timelines.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and operational functions to enhance transparency regarding finance processes and business performance.

Manage External & Internal Audits

  • Support accounting teams throughout the external audit phases, managing the process and deliverables to ensure high-quality results, adherence to timelines, and budget compliance.
  • Advocate for compliance and foster a robust control environment across our US business and Finance teams.

Enhance Accounting Policies and Drive Process Improvements

  • Assist the US Controller and Director of Accounting in designing, implementing, and maintaining effective accounting policies, procedures, and controls, aligned with industry best practices and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Partner with business and finance teams to identify and drive enhancements in upstream processes and systems.

At a minimum, you have...

  • 8 years of combined experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting functions, preferably in an SEC-regulated environment; CPA is required. External Audit background is a plus.
  • 2+ years of managing experience.
  • A proven track record in building and leading accounting operational and reporting teams.
  • Expert level analytical skills.
  • Strong technical accounting background; knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
  • Experience in fast-growth environments and/or subscription-based and/or inventory-based E-Commerce businesses preferred.
