Are you ready for a challenging and rewarding career in the construction industry? We are seeking a talented and experienced Estimator to join our team. As an integral part of our organization, you will be responsible for providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various construction projects. This role is critical to our operations as it directly impacts the decision-making process for our clients and the success of our projects. If you have a knack for numbers, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for construction, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
As an Estimator, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Analyzing project documents to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements and specifications.
2. Preparing detailed cost estimates that reflect the materials, labor, equipment, and time required for each project.
3. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to discuss cost estimates and resolve cost discrepancies.
4. Reviewing and updating cost estimates as project specifications change or additional information becomes available.
5. Conducting risk analysis to identify potential cost overruns and develop contingency plans.
6. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and construction materials pricing.
7. Presenting cost estimates to clients, stakeholders, and senior management in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Estimator role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in project estimation and construction estimating.
3. Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to accurately calculate and analyze cost data.
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex information to a variety of audiences.
6. Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and project management principles.
7. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
8. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies or inconsistencies in project documents.
9. Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulations and standards.
10. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
