We are looking for a Financial Analyst to partner with the global Kindle business inside Amazon’s Devices Division. As a Financial Analyst, you will partner directly with the Kindle team to provide a full range of financial services for the product line including controllership, multi-year financial views, annual operating plans, near term forecasts and analysis for future products. As a member of the Kindle financial team, you will directly influence key business decisions including pricing, promotional strategies and program economics.
Key job responsibilities
As a Financial Analyst, you will work directly with business leaders to identify opportunities and provide key insights. Job responsibilities include:
- Compile and review financial results and operational plans and communicate results to leadership.
- Drive the financial planning / budgeting process.
- Lead key analytical projects that assist and influence the business.
- Develop business insights and KPI dashboards.
This role requires a self-starter with a passion for developing a team, a keen attention to detail, and an ability to set clear priorities in a high velocity organization. The successful candidate will have shown success in influencing business owners and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments. This role also has regular interaction with executives to the vice president level and business units across Amazon, including international, and therefore requires possession of advanced interpersonal and communication skills.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of finance experience
- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
