We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer to lead and manage advance quality control activities for new product launches. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the quality system is in place to assure ongoing compliance with customer specifications in production. You will work closely with the Launch Engineer and interface with site customer quality engineering, product engineering, and manufacturing staff to develop and execute the quality control system.

We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer to lead and manage advance quality control activities for new product launches. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the quality system is in place to assure ongoing compliance with customer specifications in production. You will work closely with the Launch Engineer and interface with site customer quality engineering, product engineering, and manufacturing staff to develop and execute the quality control system.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development of advanced quality planning, gaging strategy, and acquisition of the product gage package for launches.
- Developing, documenting, and reviewing inspection, quality assurance, and calibration procedures.
- Assisting in the development, documentation, and implementation of IATF 16949 quality systems.
- Assisting with IATF 16949 internal audits and follow-up actions.
- Developing and training inspection personnel.
- Leading the determination of sampling frequencies and quantities for inspection plans for new and ongoing jobs.
- Facilitating discipline approach to problem solving during the launch phase of new products.
- Leading the creation of PFMEA's, Control Plans, and other quality documentation for new product launches.
- Supporting the New Product Review process (NPR) for the launch of new products.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 1 - 3 years of Quality experience.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- SPC training including working knowledge (Includes Gage R&R knowledge).
- Completion of Blueprint interpretation course including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
- Control Plan and FMEA training or working knowledge.
- Gage usage training course (Micrometers, Height Gage, Calipers, Dial Indicators, Thread Gages, etc.).
