Senior Network Engineer

We seek a highly experienced and proactive Senior Network Engineer with a primary focus on leading Network and Security Projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying and managing various network solutions to ensure the integrity and security of our infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Cisco, Meraki, VeloCloud, and FortiGate technologies. This role requires a proactive individual who can lead network projects, provide exceptional customer service, and participate in on-call rotation. It also requires strong project management skills and the ability to work independently.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

1. Lead and manage network projects from inception to completion
2. Expert-level architecture and design experience of global networks
3. Expert-level experience in converting legacy networks to next-generation design
4. Expert understanding of Routing & Switching concepts
5. Design, implement, and manage WAN routing and routing protocols
6. Deploy and manage Cisco ISE servers, ensuring secure network access and policy compliance
7. Implement and manage 802.1x authentication for both wireless/wired networks and troubleshoot related issues
8. Oversee and fine-tune Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), monitor threats, and update configurations
9. Certificate Management: Handle digital certificates and maintain PKI solutions
10. Firewall Management: Configure and troubleshoot Cisco ASA, MX, Fortigate, and Velocloud firewalls, conducting regular audits
11. Cloud Firewall Management: Deploy Cisco ASA/MX firewalls in cloud environments and resolve related issues
12. VPN Configuration: Manage and troubleshoot VPN solutions for secure remote access
13. Security Audits: Conduct audits to ensure compliance and address vulnerabilities
14. Meraki Devices Management: Ensure optimal performance and security of Meraki network devices
15. Cisco Umbrella & AnyConnect: Deploy and manage these solutions for security and remote access
16. Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for Cisco, Meraki, VeloCloud, and FortiGate technologies
17. Maintain and optimize WiFi networks, including Cisco Meraki access points
18. Other duties as assigned
19. Expert in creating and maintaining network diagrams and documentation

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
2. Proven experience as a Senior Network Engineer or similar role
3. Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently
4. Exceptional communication and presentation skills
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network operations
6. Deliver exceptional customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders
7. Adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced environment
8. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
9. Ability to lead projects and work independently
10. Participation in on-call rotation
11. CCIE certification preferred

Skills:

1. Certifications in Cisco technologies (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE)
2. Experience with other network infrastructure, security tools, and platforms
