The System Director of Human Resources will implement and integrate Human Resources (HR) strategies to support, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies and activities of the HR department, ensuring implementation of Phoebe’s Mission, Vision, and People strategy. Using sound change management principles, this role is responsible for engaging stakeholders, employee relations and engagement strategies, using appropriate data and developing plans to address opportunities and challenges. The role leads all Human Resources functions at Phoebe Putney Health System involving Employee Engagement, Employee Relations, Retention strategies, and Reduction of Employee Liability. In collaboration with our Talent Acquisition team, ensures adequate staffing and new hire onboarding process. Responsible for developing and driving talent retention strategy, which includes employee/labor relations responsibilities, employee/management counseling and coaching, EEOC charges, unemployment hearings, appeals, in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, employee complaint investigations, the exit interview process, turnover analysis, employee activities, preventive labor relations, and positive employee relations.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Required)
- Master's Degree in a related field (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years of human resource experience
- 4+ years of HR leadership experience in a multi-site setting
- 2 years experience as a strategic HR Leader
- 4 years employee relations and engagement experience
- Healthcare HR is preferred
- Strong experience with employee engagement and retention programming
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES
- Preferred Certifications/Licensures: Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or SHRM-SCP Certification
