Job Summary
The HRIS Analyst will play a pivotal role within the HRIS division supporting the strategic planning, implementation, and maintenance of our HR information systems. The HRIS Analyst will assist with automation systems planning, manage complex programs and databases, provide technical support, and ensure the security and integrity of our information systems and HR technology applications. This is a key role that bridges the gap between our technical systems and functional HR operations. The HRIS Analyst will serve as a backup to the HR Systems Administrator.
Specific job duties will include:
  • HRIS Administration and Maintenance: Monitor the day-to-day operations of the HRIS and other HR technology applications, including performing regular system updates, configurations, and maintenance tasks. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving system issues, monitor and respond to end user service inquiries and requests, create tickets for tracking issues and resolutions, and coordinate with IT for more advanced technical support. Assist with technical and functional testing. Manage user account setup and security for internal and external customers.
  • System Implementation and Enhancements: Assist in the implementation of new HR technology systems and system updates and upgrades. Work with vendors and HR teams to ensure smooth system integration, identify functional requirements, and recommend system improvements and/or new functionality, and set up and test new functionalities before deployment.
  • Data Management: Ensure accurate and timely entry of HR data into the HRIS. Develop and generate regular and ad-hoc reports to identify and resolve data discrepancies and support HR business needs. May perform more complex data uploads for data entry and maintenance.
  • User Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to HR staff and other system users. Create and maintain user guides, training materials, and system documentation to enhance user proficiency and adoption of HR technology.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure HR systems comply with data protection regulations and company policies. Maintain user accounts and security profiles and monitor and enforce system security protocols to protect sensitive HR data.
  • Project Management: Lead or assist in HR technology projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business goals. Coordinate with cross functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables, track project progress, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • May perform other essential job functions specific to the position and department assignment.

Hiring Salary: Commensurate with experience.
This position is eligible for telework, currently two days a week, in accordance with the County's Telework Policy.
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to include a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information System Management, or related field; and three (3) years of related experience in computer technology, programming, design, development, database management, and/or administration preferably in a government environment. Related Professional IT or HR certifications desired but not preferred. Must possess strong proficiency in HRIS platforms, such as Oracle, SAP, Workday, or similar systems and a strong understanding of HR processes and best practices, including talent management, benefits administration, and performance management. Project management and organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills desired.
This position is an FLSA Exempt position and may be required to work beyond the normal workweek. Some travel may be required.
