The CSI R&D SaaS team within CooperSurgical is dedicated to developing and maintaining cutting-edge SaaS software solutions for cryopreservation and inventory, storage, donations, and billing management for fertility clinics and patients worldwide. As a Senior Software Engineer on the CSI SaaS team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and future development of these products, along with other internal applications.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the CooperSurgical R&D SaaS Development team, you will play a significant role in building, maintaining, enhancing, and supporting customer-facing Software as a Service (SaaS) products and internal applications. This includes enhancements and maintenance of the existing SaaS offerings as well as development of new software products and services. This position will take on the responsibilities of a full stack developer, with the opportunity to specialize.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience in .Net, C#, Entity Framework, and MS SQL, with a proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • Proficiency in using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, Vue.js, or similar front-end frameworks to create responsive and user-friendly web applications.
  • Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD) methodologies to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud solutions such as S3, EFS, RDS, and AWS Transfer Family is a plus.
  • An outcome focused mindset including process discipline and drive for timely project completion.
  • Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, Git version control, test automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) best practices.
  • Any experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or similar technologies is a plus.
  • A passion for staying at the forefront of technology, continuously learning, and growing.

Work Environment:

  • Occasional domestic and international travel (~ 10%)
  • Hybrid work setting, office and remote.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Design and develop new features and enhancements for existing products and applications to support our business needs.
  • Serve as a full stack developer, with opportunities for specialization, to deliver high-quality code and scalable software solutions.
  • Maintain existing codebases by improving and/or replacing legacy technology.
  • Work closely with technical support staff and other engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Participate in traditional sprint ceremony meetings such as daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, team demo, and retrospective meetings.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the team to help guide the direction of future development within current and future CSI projects.
