The Sr. Lead Engineer will be responsible for operating and maintaining chillers, boilers, site building systems and associated equipment. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Responsible for operating and maintaining chillers, boilers, site building systems and associated equipmentSupervises all Leads and Shift EngineersMaintains a safe and efficient workplaceTimekeeping/record-keeping and other leadership requirementsManage PM Issuance/closure to include coordination of subcontractorsMake periodic inspections of and monitor all assigned equipment and systems locally and remotelyRespond to alarms, make periodic tours and recording required data in operating logsProficiently use test equipment and devices pertinent to building operating systems and analyze test resultsRecord and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrencesInputs data, analyses, and generates reports from CMMS database.Be familiar with emergency plans and responsesRespond to service calls and take corrective actionPerform other duties as requestedMinimum Qualifications:Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.Must have EPA CFC Universal CertificationMust have either a Journeyman HVAC License or a Second Grade Stationary License in VA/MD/DCMust have at least 5- 7 years of experienceMust have technical knowledge of Building Automation System, Centrifugal Chillers, Air Cooled Chillers, Fire and Water Tube Boilers, Air Handling Units, Variable Air Volume, Fan Coil Unit, and Chemical Treatment.Must be familiar with emergency systems including redundancy, isolation, change over, and shut down of all utilities and mission critical systemsMust have experience in Central Plant/Chiller, Electrical, Emergency Power systems, General Repairs, Package Units, Pneumatic Controls, Water Treatment, Fire Life Safety, Building Automated SystemsMust have computer skills in Microsoft Office, BAS and CMMS database.Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret ClearanceWe offer our employees a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package and are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
