Your Role at Walker

Walker Consultants is seeking a talented entry-level Project Manager for our Waltham, MA office. The Project Manager will be responsible for working alongside our structural engineers, architects and planners and leading a successful interdisciplinary building design project from conceptual design through construction. This position will work within our Design & Consulting Group on new and existing parking structures and be responsible for managing the project quality, scope, budget, and schedule.


Responsibilities

1. Determine client requirements and direct a team of talented professionals.
2. Perform as functional designer on parking design projects.
3. Lead client meetings and presentations.
4. Develop building and planning solutions from the beginning to the end of a project.
5. Manage several projects at a time and have an abundance of client interaction.
6. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies:

1. Bachelor or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering and/or Architecture.
2. Professional Engineer, Structural Engineer, and/or Architecture licensure or the ability to obtain licensure within 12 months is preferred.
3. 6 plus years of experience in coordinating architectural, structural, civil and MEP designers in the preparation of drawings and specifications for concrete and steel buildings.
4. Demonstrated experience in Planning and Building design and construction.
5. Experience successfully managing or assisting with management of multiple concurrent projects.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

1. Experience in functional, structural and architectural design of parking structures is highly desired, but not required.
2. Prior project management experience.
3. Experience reviewing contracts.

Compensation Range:

Base salary ranges from $90,000 to $125,000 annually + bonus, depending on experience. Total financial compensation resulting from a performance bonus can increase your earning potential. Signing Bonus available.
