The pursuit of innovative and ambitious projects necessitates the inclusion of a qualified Senior Estimator to join our dedicated team. This role demands expertise in all procurement aspects for hard bid GC pursuits, design-assist construction management roles, and design-build projects with fully integrated design responsibilities. The Senior Estimator will establish preliminary, real-time, and final cost estimates, define work scopes, assign them to trade partners, and reassemble the data into bids or estimates as required.


Essential Duties:


  • Develop procurement strategies and execute them at bid time.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with trade partners.
  • Identify, understand, manage, and communicate risk effectively.
  • Develop new work opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain project estimates by sector definition using company estimating software.
  • Lead a team of estimators on project procurements.
  • Assist in converting project estimates into financial status reports, cost controls, and labor recaps.
  • Organize and maintain accurate pricing data to support estimates.
  • Communicate estimate scope and pricing details to clients; purchase scopes and write associated subcontracts.
  • Develop bid package schedules and manage bid packaging.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to develop purchasing plans, purchase scopes, and write subcontracts.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in company formats and procedures, with the ability to train and develop other estimators.


Position Qualifications:


  • A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in large commercial construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Extensive experience in various contract delivery types (i.e., hard bid, , Design/Build).
  • Expertise in both conceptual estimating and hard bid environments.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and software programs such as On-Screen Take-Off, Building Connected, SAGE, and Assemble.
  • Ability to write bid packages, subcontracts, and purchase agreements.
  • Skilled in conceptual estimating using assembly pricing.
  • Established local relationships within the construction/AE industry.


Compensation & Benefits:


  • Salary Range: The compensation for this position ranges between $110,000 and $140,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Company Vehicle: Roles at the project engineer level and above are eligible, based on company policies.

  • Annual Bonus: Applicable to salaried roles at the level of project engineers and above, contingent on company and individual performance.
