The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing our financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our financial operations. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in construction-related bookkeeping.Key Responsibilities:Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and reports for management.Monitor cash flow, manage invoicing, and ensure timely payments.Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.Support project managers with financial data and reporting for ongoing projects.Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.Provide support for special projects as needed.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in the construction industry.Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Deltek ComputerEase) and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and practices.Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.To Apply: Email resume to with "Degen Excavating -- Accountant" in the subject line.
