Financial Analyst (Onsite)

Cook County, IL

6 months (extension or perm placement)

Shift: 8:30am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and develops a standardized model and format for pricing all clinical research activities.
  • Assists in the submission budgets. Identifies opportunities and recommends implementation of process changes to support greater efficiency and usefulness in the budget creation and tracking.
  • Tracks monthly performance and financial data into an executive dashboard.
  • Responsible for interpreting agreed upon coverage analyses into a research study budget.
  • Serves as resource determining research price rates for clinical trial study budgets. Sets up study billing forms for research accounts with necessary departments.
  • Develops federal and non-federal grant budgets as needed.
  • Facilitates submission and completion of other financial study documents.
  • Maintains and monitors study budget/contract expiration dates and initiates budget amendments accordingly.
  • Performs accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks for study fund accounts (i.e. invoice sponsor for earned milestone payments, monitor sponsor payments, review, approve, and initiate payment for research study bills).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with three years’ experience.
  • Five years of experience in healthcare administration or finance.
  • Strong financial analysis.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships and collaborate in the broad network of our Organization.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to set priorities and manage deadlines, possess strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to exercise judgment when dealing with confidential matters.
  • Business acumen and ability to think systemically and strategically.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in clinical, research, or health care field.
